ADMISSION INFORMATION

For admission following documents are to be given to Admission Commission of Foreign Students Faculty:

1. Passport with notarially confirmed translation to Russian (original and copy). Temporary documents given in some countries to persons under 18 years old are not accepted (for these persons national passport is to be received)
2. Document of Higher Secondary Education with obligatory presence of grades for following subjects:
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics and mathematics

At stage of invitation making better is to give the document confirming the equivalence of Higher Secondary Education to that in Russian Federation (so called “nostrification certificate” or “equivalence certificate”). Nostrification can be performed at one of following offices:

Documents necessary for nostrification procedure:

• 2 copies of translation of educational document (notarially confirmed)
• copy of passport translation (notarially confirmed)
• originals of passport and educational document (are not taken, are returned at the same day)

Translation of the documents and their notarial confirmation may be done in the office “Vasiljevsky ostriov line 8, building 23 (В.О., 8 линия д. 23), phone +7-812-323-13-77 – linguistic specialists of Saint-Petersburg State University) or at any other office.

In case if nostrification was not performed before the invitation is made, it should be done up to December 31 of current year (during first semester of education).

Nostrification is not necessary if the applicant received Higher Secondary Education document in schools of Russian Federation.
According to the order of Ministry of Education of Russian Federation, state documents which are given in some countries, are accepted without nostrification certificate. These countries are stated in annual letter of Rosobrnadzor (in 2006/07 г – Belarus, Kasakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, documents of Higher Secondary Education given in Tadjikistan Republic).

For applicants for postgraduate and additional education (internship, clinical ordinatura, aspirantura (PhD), doctorantura (Grand PhD) nostrification certificate confirming the equivalence of their Higher Professional Education Diploma to the level of Higher Medical Education in Russian Federation is obligatory at the stage of invitation making.

ORDER AND TIMING OF APPLICATION FOR STUDY IN THE UNIVERSITY:

For countries with visa regimen (at 1.02.2008 – all countries including some countries at post-soviet region - Baltic countries, Georgia, Turkmenistan)

1. Higher Secondary Education document and passport page with photo, date of issue and validity are presented to Admission Commission of the University in original or in fax or scanned copy (personally by applicant, by its representative, by fax (+7-812-234-01-25) or by e-mail no later than June 15 of current year. The application form is also presented with stating of the place where visa will be received. For postgraduate and additional education programs (internship, ordinatura, aspirantura (PhD), doctorantura (GrandPhD) nostrification certificate confirming the equivalence of their Higher Professional Education Diploma to the level of Higher Medical Education in Russian Federation is obligatory to be presented at the stage of invitation making.
   
   To come to the University, You should enter Russia only with “study” visa, made on a base of invitation from Saint-Petersburg State Pavlov Medical University (aim of entrance – “for study” (цель въезда – «учёба») –for study at General Medicine and Stomatology Faculties; “courses” (цель въезда – «курсы») – for study at Preparatory Department, “Aspirantura”( цель въезда –«аспирантура») – for study at Aspirantura (PhD) or Doctorantura (Grand PhD), “specialization”( цель въезда – «стажировка») for other variants of postgraduate and additional education).
2. Admission commission performs the primary analysis of the documents. In case if decision about possibility to admit the applicant is made, the invitation for study is prepared in 30-40 days period. Invitation may be received by either applicant himself or by his representative in room N2 (International Relations Department). Invitation may be sent by express mail (delivery payment is performed by the applicant to the mail office in his country)
3. After entering Russian Federation (not earlier than August 20-23 of the current year) the applicant comes to Admission Comission (Foreign Students Dean’s Office, room 1) and presents the origi абитуриент лично обращается в приёмную комиссию (деканат иностранных учащихся, кабинет № 1) с обязательным представлением оригиналов указанных выше документов.

ATTENTION OF EUROINION COUNTRIES APPLICANTS

Agreement between Russian Federation and Eurounion is valid only for exchange programs with duration of study in Russia 3 months and less; for full-time education invitation is still needed.

Time of documents submission for Preparatory Department applicants (for invitation making procedure):

• one year program – up to September 10 of the current year
• 1.5 and 2 year program – up to February 1 of the current year

FOR COUNTRIES WITH NON-VISA REGIMEN

Applicant himself is to come to Admission commission (Foreign Students Dean’s Office room 1). All above mentioned documents are obligatory to be submitted in originals. Time for application – no later than August 27 of the current year.

For all the applicants excluding those who completed Preparatory Department of Saint-Petersburg State Pavlov Medical University and received the Certificate, admission tests are performed for following subjects: Russian (for English Medium applicants – English), Chemistry, Biology (from August 23-27 of the current year). To receive permission for Application tests all necessary documents are to be submitted and admission fee 2225 roubles is to be paid to the University cash.

ADMISSION TO THE BUDGET FORM OF EDUCATION WITH SCHOLARSHIP

According to the annual letter of Rosobrnadzor (for 2007 - N 01-289/-05-1, issued at 19.06.2007) – citizens of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgyz Republic, Tajikistan have possibility to be admitted to the budget form as Russian citizens

For citizens of other countries special document given by Russian Federation Ministry of Education is necessary. This document should confirm that this person is sent to Saint-Petersburg Pavlov State Medical University for study at the budget expense. Only original document mentioned should be produced to admission commission (copies and faxes are not accepted).
